Email Snippets
Email Snippets is no longer supported
Email Snippets is no longer being updated and does not work in MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and up.
If you need to recover your snippets, please do the following:
- Close Email Snippets if it's running (right click the menu bar icon > Quit)
- Click Download Recovery Tool below
- Extract the zip
- There should be an app, Email Snippets - DO NOT drag this into your Applications folder
- Double click this new Email Snippets app
- You should see all of your snippets
- Click Export CSV for aText - this file can be opened in any spreadsheet software, or exported into aText
What to use instead?
I recommend using aText for your snippets. aText does everything Email Snippets does and much more.
To import your Email Snippets snippets into aText:
- Follow the data recovery steps above (until you have the EmailSnippets.csv file)
- Click the aText menu icon > Main Window
- Click the aText icon (top left) > File > Open
- Choose your EmailSnippets.csv file
- Click Ok
- Your snippets will be added
- To make aText behave more like Email Snippets, setup a keyboard shortcut for "Search snippet". Go to Preferences > Hotkeys > Search snippet
